101 (Kenton & Kingsbury) Squadron stared life in the centre of Harrow in 1939 on the site now occupied by the Civic Centre. The Squadron now parades every Monday and Thursday, 1915-2145 in a base to the rear of the TA Centre on Honeypot Lane in Kingsbury, London, NW9; the base having been delivered in April 2009.


The Squadron accepts both boys and girls from the age of 13, the intake being every 2 months or so. At the time of writing, the Squadron strength is about 90, with 60 regularly parading and an average parade strength of between 30 and 40 per night.


The current Squadron OC is Flt Lt T Straw, RAFVR(T). He is supported by a Warrant Officer (ATC) and a number of Civilian Instructors. The Squadron takes part in all of the usual events and activities, including adventure training, first aid, shooting, flying and gliding, athletics and other sports.
