405 (Darlington) Squadron is a squadron of the Air Training Corps, based in Darlington, Co. Durham.

Command Structure[]

The squadron is part of Central and East Yorkshire Wing along with twenty-seven other squadrons. The current commanding officer is Flying Officer Iain McNeill

Parade Nights[]

The squadron parades between 19:15 and 21:30 every Monday and Thursday night in the upper story of the Cadet Forces premises, located behind the main building of Bradford Armoury TAVR Centre, Neasham Road in Darlington.

Previously[]

Back in the 1960s and 1970s, the squadron was in Durham Wing, it met on Monday and Wednesday nights, in a single-storey prefab building behind the main building. It helped to form Bishop Auckland squadron. There was a separate Girls Venture Corps squadron for a time.
