RAF Coningsby is an operational airbase currently providing the southern QRA for the air defence of the United Kingdom. It is situated in the village of Coningsby, and is home to 4 squadrons - 3,11,29, and 41 Sqn.
The only ACO unit on base is 17 (Coningsby) Squadron (ATC), although other local ACO units use the 25m rifle range on site.
RAF Coningsby is also available to the Air Training Corps as a summer camp, with tented accommodation on the playing fields.
